Hi, my name is Don Sidler. I live in New Hope, MN, and am retired after 35 years in an oil refinery. I still worked for a few years driving a van for an adult day program, but finally retired for good a couple years ago.

My hobbies are woodworking, photography, and motorcycle touring. The motorcycle touring is soon coming to an end, as I am selling both bikes and giving up riding. My current ride is a 2006 BMW K1200/LTC. I acquired a 2001 bright yellow Gold Wing a few years ago on Ebay. It made another visit to Ebay this week and was adopted by a new owner from Roseau, MN. So it was goodbye to the yellow Wing. No tears shed there, it definitely wasn't a BMW.

I'm afraid it might be a different story when the LT leaves. I have been riding since 1972 and my favorite bikes have been BMW's. I had an '02 K1200LT before the current '06, and put on about 80000 fun miles on that one. I have around 30000 miles on the current LT. So I will miss it, but mostly I will miss riding with my brother, sons and friends from our M/C club.

Kathy has been after me since last summer to get rid of both bikes and buy a convertible. Well... looks like that is an accomplished fact. I sold the Gold Wing on Ebay to a nice couple from Roseau, MN. So it is gone. And now, I have a deposit on the LT and the Neosho trailer.
